World Bodysurfing Championship
Spectating the World Bodysurfing Championship is one of the most popular summer events in Oceanside. You can gather on the beach starting at 6:30 a.m. if you are an early bird, but the event goes on all day with product and food vendors. The event is the weekend of August 20 at the Oceanside Pier.
Market Day in Downtown Oceanside
Downtown Oceanside is home to the Oceanside Sunset Market, a family-friendly street fair with entertainment, local artisans, vendors, international cuisines, a children’s fun place, and much more. The event spans four blocks and is open Thursday evenings 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. all year round. It is the perfect place to enjoy everything the local community offers. The morning Farmers Market is also open on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Live Thursdays at The Plot
Another exciting Thursday event is Live Thursdays at The Plot restaurant. Tasty plant based food is served with live local musicians performing on the outside patio. Dogs are welcome! At 1733 South Coast Highway, the event runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
South O Car Show
Hot rods, motorcycles, and boats will be on display for the 8th Annual South O Car Show at Oceanside Elementary School on Aug, 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The family friendly will showcase these specialty vehicles and provide musical acts, food, and a kid’s play zone.
Performance by Grammy Nominee David Arkenstone & Friends
The Oceanside Theater Company will host the contemporary instrumentalist and 5-time Grammy nominee David Arkenstone on August 24. The event is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Brooks Theater, 217 North Coast Highway. Tickets start at $25.
Taste of Oceanside
The perfect way to venture into Fall, the Taste of Oceanside event is a great time to explore Oceanside eateries. You can take the Taste Train, walk, or drive to several local restaurants where you can sample beer and wines and local cuisines. The event takes place on Oct. 1 from 2 p.m. from 4 p.m. Tickets start at $45.
